Semburan Lumpur Panas di Mempawah Kalbar, Bukan yang Pertama

AKSARALOKA.COM, MEMPAWAH – Semburan lumpur disertai ledakan dan percikan api terjadi di Pondok Pesantren Nurul Amaliyah, Desa Wajok Hilir, Kecamatan Jungkat, Kabupaten Mempawah, Kalimantan Barat (Kalbar), Senin 8 Mei 2023.

Ketua Satgas Informasi Bencana Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah (BPBD) Kalbar Daniel mengatakan, peristiwa semburan lumpur panas ini merupakan yang kedua kalinya. Maka dari itu, pihaknya telah berkoordinasi dengan instansi terkait untuk mengetahui apakah daerah tersebut ada potensi gas alam.

“Kita juga sudah memberikan arahan kepada pihak ponpes, apabila semburan ini muncul lagi dalam intensitas yang lama, penghuni pondok dapat diungsikan ke tempat yang aman,” kata Daniel kepada wartawan, Senin malam.

Daniel menjelaskan, Tim Reaksi Cepat BPBD Kalbar sudah turun ke lokasi untuk melakukan assesmen.

Sebagai informasi, Ponpes Nurul Amaliyah memiliki 400 santri dan santriwati yang tinggal di asrama sehingga memerlukan sumber air untuk keperluan sehari-hari.

“Atas kebutuhan air itu, pihak ponpes membuat sumur bor,” ucap Daniel.

Sebelumnya, Pengasuh Pondok Pesantren Nurul Amaliyah Mualim Waheed mengatakan, semburan lumpur bermula saat pihaknya hendak membuat sumur bor untuk kebutuhan air bersih santri dan santriwati.

“Setelah dilakukan pengeboran sumur, tepatnya di kedalaman 40 meter, terjadi ledakan disertai percikan api, kemudian terjadi semburan lumpur dan pasir,” kata Mualim kepada wartawan, Senin sore.

Menurut Mualim, saat peristiwa itu terjadi, hujan juga turun dengan lumayan deras, sehingga api tidak menyebar kemana-mana. Hanya saja, dinding bangunan dan atapnya menghitap terbakar.

“Akibat dari semburan itu terjadi kerusakan pada bagian dinding dan kaki atap di salah satu bangunan di ponpes,” ujar Mualim.

Mualim memastikan, peristiwa ini tidak menyebabkan adanya korban jiwa dan pengeboran untuk pembuatan sumur dihentikan sementara.

“Langkah yang kami ambil yakni terutama untuk keselamatan masyarakat setempat. Di mana kami mengimbau agar masyarakat untuk tidak berada di sekitar lokasi, guna mengantisipasi adanya semburan susulan,” tutup Mualim.
