KETAPANG – Dokter Simon Yosonegoro Liem yang merupakan putra asli Kabupaten Ketapang berhasil menulis sebuah buku mengenai kisah masa lalu Ketapang.
Buku yang diberi judul Kisah di Balik Foto Ketapang Jadul tentunya akan membuat para pembaca berimajinasi dan bernostalgia dengan Ketapang tempo dulu.
Saat dikonfirmasi, dr Simon mengaku kalau ketertarikannya melakukan dokumentasi berawal dari hobi membaca kisah sejarah dan fotografi. Dari hal tersebut membuat dirinya kerap memfoto kejadian sejarah seputar Ketapang.
“Literatur tentang sejarah Ketapang yang terbatas mendorong saya mendokumentasikan banyak tempat melalui sebuah foto,” katanya, Minggu (22/10/2023).
Simon melanjutkan, dalam mendokumentasikan foto-foto tersebut, diringa didukung oleh berbagai referensi, baik itu sumber lokal, nasional maupun internasional.
Diakuinya melalui foto-foto yang terangkum dalam buku yang ditulis di kisah di balik ketapang jadul, dirinya berharap ada legacy yang diketahui oleh anak-anak muda soal Ketapang.
“Tujuan saya juga agar generasi muda dan anak cucu kita kelak lebih menghargai perjuangan para pendahulu dan turut menjaga toleransi serta kebersamaan di tengah keberagaman warga Ketapang,” jelasnya.
Simon menambahkan, kalau dalam buku tersebut, para pembaca dapat melihat foto-foto Ketapang zaman dahulu dan dibandingkan dengan zaman sekarang diberbagai lokasi sehingga para pembaca bisa melihar perbedaan dan bernostalgia.
“Ada foto-foto berbagai sudut Pasar Lama baik Jalan Merdeka, Jalan Imam Bonjol dan Jalan A Yani, Bioskop Pawan, Ketapang Theater, Keraton Matan, Astana Raja Tanjungpura, Sungai Besar, Kuala Tolak, Sandai dan daerah-daerah lainnya serta fasilitas umum dan sejarah yang ada di Ketapang,” tuturnya.
Untuk itu, Simon mengaku masyarakat yang tertarik membaca buku tersebut, dapat membeli buku di stand Ketapang Jadul selama kegiatan napak tilas berlangsung, atau bisa memesan langsung kepada dirinya selaku penulis.
